1) Page 45 - second column - third paragraph: Gear lube capacities should read in "PINTS" rather than "ounces". 2) Page 53 - first table - regarding the 022A-7113-B cluster gear: The rear thrust washer description should read "OBLONG HOLE" rather than "two slots". 3) Page 25 - second column - Figure 6: the part number shown is incorrect. It should read "B-7119" , not B-9118. 4) Page 40 - first column - Figure 48: Not so much a correction as a clarification. This photo shows the late style shifter forks, rails, and related parts. The rails are shown in the book with the three detent notches facing inwards. When installed in the shifter housing, the rails (shafts) should face outward. The forks and other parts are shown correctly. Click here for a revised photo of the parts. 5) Page 9 - first column - second paragraph: the steel pin is 5/16" diameter, not 1/4". 6) Page 58 - In the gear charts, the 48-7106 description should read "Use with B-7108 hub." The reference to a B-7106 hub is incorrect. 7) Page 58 (1st thru 3rd printing) or Page 59 (4th printing) - in the gear chart under the 68-7113, the optional gears listed (last sequence): the item shown as "81A-7107" (which is a brass synchro ring) should read "81A-7017" (which is a main drive gear). 8) Page 52 (1st
thru 5th printing) - left side under OPEN DRIVESHAFT TRANS: all references
to the 51C-7061 mainshaft are incorrect. The correct part number should
read "59C-7061". Also,
to be even more specific on application, the 21C-7061 shaft used the
68-7080 rear oil baffle, whereas the 59C-7061 shaft used the 59C-7080
washer in this location. The 1A-7061 shaft did not use either the baffle
or the washer. |
